BSA Troop 6 has been in existence since 1917. We have been chartered to Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church, which supplies us with a meeting place, storage space, and the building. We have had 77 Eagle Scouts since 1976. However, there are 61 years missing from our records. Our troop is part of the Ohio River Valley Council which is headquartered in Wheeling, WV and serves six counties in the northern panhandle of West Virginia and four counties in eastern Ohio.
Our troop meetings are on Tuesday nights from 7:00 P.M.-8:30 P.M. at Vance Church.
Scoutmaster's Conferences are the first Tuesday of each month and Board of Reviews are the second Tuesday of each month. There is a parent meeting the third Tuesday of each month.

ORVC Spring Camporee | |
This year Troop 6 has decided to attend the Ohio River Valley Council's Spring Camporee. It will be held at Barkcamp State Park in Belmont, Ohio. The theme for the Spring Camporee is Geocaching. The scouts will be able to learn from the pros all about Geocaching and will have the opportunity to go Geocaching around the camp for all day Saturday. Patrols will be responsible for their food and we will be back home Sunday afternoon.
